Project 365: 3rd-9th April

Very late with this week's post, but we have been away and only returned last night...

3rd April- Finishing up a little project with RB. We made a movie with still photographs, video and music. Lots of fun and turned out pretty well.

4th April- It's exciting to see these boxes coming back into the house, I'm trying to be a little prepared.

5th April- Red letter day in our house. RB lost her first tooth! She was SO excited.

6th April- The stash of Easterness to try and create Easter presents this year...

7th April- AB trying hard to ignore me taking his picture...

8th April- EB after finding the stash of chocolates she and I had made the day before. She is quite the ninja and can get into any hiding place...

9th April- On route to Canberra for a weekend of family, friends and a special princess' Christening. Good times.

Project 365: 27th March- 2nd April

27th March- EB and her cousin/best mate making cookies.

28th March- RB brought home her news book and I love that her very first entry as a 'big school' girl was trash talking her brother.

29th March- This little fella was on the outside of the bathroom window the other night.

30th March- Helping out the kids' school by photographing the summer and winter uniforms. Here, RB is modelling a winter option in her footy team pose.

31st March- EB is just so fast, this is all we see of her sometimes.

1st April- EB loved getting wrapped up, then would shout out "Let me out you varmints!" (No word of a lie, that's what she said. Not bad for a 2 yr old).

2nd April- Open morning at RB's dance school. Loved watching her, she has only started tap this term and enjoys it so much. I adore this photo, she and her fabulous teacher look like they are doing a duet!

Just realised poor old AB missed out on being in any photos this week! Poor little guy. I'm sure he'll be back next week...

Project 365: 20th-26th March

20th March- Having a play with a lens that used to be a favourite, haven't used it in a long time. This is the Jacaranda out the back.

21st March- It's a brave man who lets EB feed them peas with a toothpick, but when you get a reaction like this one, it's hard to say no.

22nd March- First day of soccer training, and AB was thrilled to be back.

23rd March- Again, playing around with the old macro lens. I've been trying to work out if it works as well as it used to, before EB had tinkered with it. Jury is still out...

24th March- AB's class has been learning about weather this term, this is a little farewell to the sun photo...

25th March- Not much light available for this photo, just the laptop screen. Trying to experiment with the camera to see how far I could push the 'low light' capabilities.

26th March- NB's birthday so he gets two photos because, well, he's worth it.

Project 365: 13th-19th March

13th March- In the bathroom of the hotel I was staying at up in Brisbane. A VERY kind mirror. Although I should stick a rearview mirror warning "objects in the mirror are way bigger than they appear". (iphone)

14th March- RB and I out the back.

15th March- Taken at a commercial shoot I was on. I (legally) took an armful of these little caps home for the kids, they absolutely loved them. The results of the shoot can be found here and here .

16th March- RB having time up a tree in the fairy garden.

17th March- Delicious chocolate fudge cake my mother in law baked for my birthday. (iphone)

18th March- Very dodgy picture of EB's new favourite hiding place. The first 2 times I came looking for her I walked straight past the pantry... (iphone)

19th March- A couple of weeks ago the little ones spent time planting seeds with Nicko for the veggie patch. Each child had their own job. AB's job was to label the seedling trays. I love looking at this photo and remembering how well they worked together.

Newborn Posing Workshop

Last weekend I travelled to Brisbane for a workshop with the very talented Lana Bell from Little Posers Photography. I learnt so much, met some lovely photographers and was able to photograph two gorgeous baby girls, both under two weeks old.

The natural light in Lana's studio is incredible, and new windows for our place have now made it to the renovation 'wish list'! We shall see...

Below are some shots I took on the day after Lana had settled the bubs into comfy snoozy positions.

I cannot wait to try out the new techniques I learned on our own little bundle of joy, due early July....

Project 365: 6th-12th March

So this weeks collection turned out  to be all black and whites. I didn't intend that at the start of the week, but I bought a new 'film' for the hipstamatic app on the iphone and I was like a kid with a new train set. I love the moodiness of the effect it gives. Next week, colour will be back... promise...

6th March- Setting up at home for a bubba shoot and the girls were helping. LOVE both the expression on EB's face, and RB's pose. Is that warrior pose in yoga?

7th March- And so the moodiness begins. Nothing too exciting, just looking up from the veggie patch. (iphone)

8th March- After sorting out photos to have printed, I came across the top image, and couldn't believe how quickly the little ones had grown up. Quickly grabbed the bottom photo before the big two got on the bus for school.

9th March- We have some minor renovations going on at the moment to fit in the new addition. Site manager EB is checking out the work (love the body language).

10th March- More moodiness captured out the window of the car on the way home (yes Mum I did pull over first). (iphone)

11th March- Sydney airport on my way to a wonderful workshop in Brisbane (more on that later). (iphone)

12th March- Boring shot when I realised I hadn't taken a 365 shot that day. (iphone)

Gorgeous little guy

Last weekend I had a family travel over to Griffith for a portrait session. They were so lovely and relaxed. Their little bloke is such a cutie, and was really well behaved. Made my job very easy.

Enjoy your sneak peek guys, I'll be in touch very soon.

Project 365: 27th February-5th March

27th February- This is the house that Nick built. (Well, almost complete... weathervane and window boxes to go) You might be able to see a little munchkin playing inside.

28th February- Gotta love daycare, EB certainly does.

1st March- Tip for young players, when you think you have packed up all your toys from the backyard, go back and check. If you don't find them, the Labrador certainly will.

2nd March- EB, just being herself.

3rd March- Beautiful cousin RS, now living only a stones throw away from us, woohoo!

4th March- Taking an alternate route to avoid roadworks outside our place, popped the window down and got a 'nature pic'. (iphone)

5th March- RB practising her best sad face whilst modelling for a friend and I yesterday. So sad but still so beautiful!
