Project 365: 6th-12th November

6th November- We have turned into a 'pod on trips' family. Big thank you to our lovely friends who passed on their pod. Now, we might be able to venture out of the postcode with the whole family.

7th November- Late afternoons have turned into mud play at our place, and no one is enjoying it more than EB. I really love this photo of her.

8th November- RB's class is learning about insects at the moment. She found a part of an insect's home (wasp?) out the back and was mesmerised.

9th November- EB & MB were watching Beauty and the Beast together and looking like a junior version of At The Movies. I expected EB to say, "So what did YOU think of it David?"

10th November- I made a little stop motion movie of the assembly of RB's birthday cake.
This was the first frame.

11th November- RB's birthday cupcakes for her class. How cool to have a birthday on 11/11/11!

12th November- Party time and RB's birthday cake. The clever thing decorated the outside herself with food colouring textas.

Project 365: 30th October- 5th November

30th October- A little bit of lunchtime viewing, AC/DC's Long Way to the Top.

31st October- Happy Birthday Diesel Dog!

1st November- EB's hair had been in 2 buns that day, so when we took it out she looked a little like Rapunzel.

2nd November- NB is doing Movember for the 5th time this year and I was trying to get a 'before' shot. MB was practising his Blue Steel for the camera.

3rd November- EB was doing her excerises. When I left to get the camera she was standing on the board, when I came back this was the magic she busted out for me!

4th November- After a big day of drop offs, Art class, doctor's appt and school assembly, poor MB was exhausted (and he wasn't the only one!).

5th November- Ah, nothing says "We've had a snake sighting" quite like a shovel at the back door.

Gorgeous Family of Six

I'm so happy to share a family session from a few weeks ago. They'd been waiting for their shoot since March (my pregnant belly was making me a little less agile so we decided to hold off!) and I'm glad we timed it when we did.

It's no secret that I love canola. I smile every time I drive past a field of the stuff. The combination of a gorgeous family and my beloved canola (well not mine really) was magic. In fact, the first image is one of my favourite family images to date.

The mum did a wonderful job styling the family's outfits for this session. It's so effective the way the colours are repeated throughout the different outfits, but everyone still has their own individual look. Lovely!

Project 365: 23rd-29th October

23rd October- Photographed this gorgeous little prince and his wonderful parents.

24th October- Knowing how much the girls have been getting into the fairy chapter books lately, AB borrowed a whole heap from his school library for his little sisters to enjoy.

25th October- RB found an awesome hiding spot for their game.

26th October- This was Banjo after I had spent half an hour brushing all the burrs out of him (that's them in the background). I think it took him 16 seconds to reburr himself when he got outside.

27th October- EB, MB, my sister in law and I went for out lunch. The lovely waitress served EB's orange juice this way, genius!! (iphone)

28th October- AB's Lego dudes in what must be a Sea Patrol special.

29th October- So proud of RB. We found out she passed her first ever ballet exam. She was pretty pumped up too.

Project 365: 16th -22nd October

16th October- I may not be much of a bird person, but I do love having chooks. Please note: I have not once collected the eggs myself, but I have eaten plenty of them.

17th October- MB hanging tough on the gorgeous blanket his Bis Zia (Great Aunty) bought him as a  Christening gift.

18th October- RB sporting her beautiful new gappy smile.

19th October- RB sharing her home reader with MB. After this, the other two children and I joined them and had book time on the bed while waiting for NB to get home. It was beautiful, I didn't read any books. The big 3 did all the reading. Definitely a Life Is Good moment.

MB getting into the summer fashions. (iphone)

The result of EB and my unauthorised home renovations. There was quite special (old) carpet here and although it was on our To Do list to pull it up, I don't think NB was expecting it to be done when he got home. However, how awesome does it look??

22nd October- It's the festival of the gardens in the town at the moment, and I thought it was really cute that the supermarket veggies had gotten involved as well! (iphone)

Project 365: 9th-15th October

9th October- RB doing some sweet scooter tricks in the carport.

10th October- Just after bath time. She just loves him to bits. EVERY time she sees him she says something like "Look Mum, a baby. He's so cute".

11th October- Enjoying a late afternoon play in the fairy garden.

12th October- Little blue eyed man.

13th October- EB doing one of her favourite things, exploring the backyard.

14th October- MB inherited this supercute Wallabies outfit from his god parents. Love it!

15th October - EB making sure Woody keeps his calcium levels up. (iphone)

Project 365: 2nd-8th October

2nd October- The Brown family quite literally built a bridge. Well, reassembled really. RB and I found this little beauty at Bunnings and miraculously, it fitted in the car. Not much else did.

3rd October- EB admiring her 'Barbie' tattoo from one of the showbags. I think it's really from High School Musical 3 but I prefer to think of it as Barbie as well. Please note: we did not buy a High School Musical 3 showbag, it was just a filler in one of those Greatest Showbag on Earth kind of things.

4th October- Took AB out for a mini shoot in the lane way behind the main street. His remote control car was also supposed to feature, however there were battery issues.

5th October- Unfortunately the demonstration was postponed because of an unexpected bee swarm. (True story)

6th October- RB & AB both have pieces in this year's Flower Power Exhibition at the local gallery, and received certificates for their amazing works. (iphone)

7th October- Using NB's Fathers' Day present to create the 'Friday Fry Up'.
Naughty? Yes. Delicious? Also yes. (iphone)

Those who know us well, know that NB & I love a good self take at weddings. We aren't bad either. This time it was NB's cousin's wedding. (iphone)

Lil One

Just recently we had MB's Christening, a beautiful day full of friends and family. While they were visiting, I managed to get my littlest niece into the home studio for a mini session. As you can see by the first image, she had an absolute blast, couldn't get enough of it!
SS is such a cutie, and her mum is 'sew' clever, making the little white pleated bloomers herself. I am flat out even ironing pleats on my little girl's winter tunic!
Before they left, we were able to find 3 minutes out the back to get a shot of my beautiful sister, her terrific husband and their two gorgeous girls. Love. Love. Love. SBxx

Project 365: 25th September-1st October

No iphone pics this week. School holidays has meant that we can slow down a bit, phew...

25th September- On the way to MB's Christening. He is pumped up.

26th September- My smallest niece had her turn in the home studio. Too cute.

27th September- Love my boys, simple as that.

28th September- EB was up on her brother's top bunk, reading Peter Pan to herself. The light here is coming from a reading lamp connected to the bed.

29th September- Usually when EB is quiet for a time, there is a trail of destruction needing attention with some kind of cleaning product. This time all I could do was smile, and leave it there till her dad got home so he could see.

30th September- Gotta love a bathtime shot!

1st October- I have such a love/hate relationship with balloons. Sure, I love their bright colours and the excitement on kids' faces when they play with them, but I have such a crazy fear of them popping around me. Eeek!
