Chris + Kerri

" I want to love you and treat you right,
I want to love you every day and every night..."

I know I've said it before, but I don't photograph weddings (reasons for which are a topic for another day).  This was different.

Chris and Kerri were married a little over 4 years ago in beautiful Fiji and I was lucky enough to be there as a guest. Unfortunately, the weather was less than perfect (= crazy storms) and their wedding photographs were not all they could have been (I was not the photographer, promise).

Part of our recent holiday road trip involved spending New Years with these beautiful people on the NSW south coast. It was exactly the break the little Brown family needed and I was thrilled when we managed to slip away and capture these pictures. I love these guys very much (think brother from another mother, sister from another mister kind of thing) and wish them the very best for the near future and beyond.

Big thanks to Chris' brother (GK) and my husband (NB) for staying with the 6 children and making this possible.

And yes, I am wildly jealous that she still fits into her wedding dress after 4 and a bit years.

Project 365: 25th-31st December

Last post!

25th December- Christmas day in my hometown. All my lovelies having a squishy Christmas hug.
MB may be a little overwhelmed here. (iphone)

26th December- Had the MOST beautiful afternoon catching up with one of my oldest friends at the place where I used to love visiting as a kid. It's still is as magic as it used to be, and I think it's why I wanted to find a property like we have now.  The little Browns loved her farm too, and were firm friends with her little man after about 5 minutes. We are looking forward to hearing news of her pink bundle's arrival any day now! (iphone)

27th December- In Canberra, EB bouncing on her cousins' brand new Christmas trampoline, assembled in record time by my clever brother in law and the equally clever NB. Hour and a half total, not bad.

28th December- Hard to believe my littlest niece is nearly 1. I'm sure there's a photo in the 365 project of her at about a week old! Here she is at the park while the big kids were feeding/scaring the ducks.

29th December- We had a cake picnic next to the school I used to teach at in Canberra. Here, my ridiculously cute niece is practising her circus tricks with her daddy.

30th December- My amazingly beautiful friend and I have been waiting to share a champas together at the coast for a very long time. Finally we were able to do it. (Bit of mango in the glass, it's brilliant!) xxx

31st December- Holy smokes, last photo of the project. RB and I took off for a little time together at the beach just as the sun was setting.

And Finally...
What a huge year it has been, in more ways than one.
I can honestly say that 2011 was the hardest year of our lives, and the juggling four children bit was probably the easiest part of it. However, looking back through all the images (and trying not to tear up as I often do being the emotional beast that I am) I am overwhelmed with how lucky I am to be surrounded by so many amazing people, and so much love.

My little family means the world to me and I am so humbled that others have enjoyed watching them grow this year throughout this project.
